UK Attractions and Places to visit

Our UK attractions and Places to visit while camping and caravanning is new to us and has taken sometime to get right and to work out how we want it to work for you.

The main criteria is that you, while searching for a campsite or caravan park can easily see what attractions and Places to visit are close to the campsite you choose.

But we weren't happy with having only that option so we decided upon a whole new category of "attractions" (Original I know) you can find the new area on the menu above.

The reasoning behind this is that we thought you might want to go to a particular attraction, maybe with the kids, grandchildren or even by yourself and then need a campsite or caravan park within a reasonable distance from it. Make sense? We thought so.

So to recap you can find attractions and places to visit in 2 ways

  1. Go to any campsite listing and you will see "attractions close by" on the right hand side.
  2. Go to the attractions menu and find the attraction or place you want to visit, click on it and it will show you all the campsite listings we have within a 10 mile radius of that attraction.

Going a stage further we thought you might want to visit a Zoo or take a stroll around a Stately Home and gardens so we went with tags. These tags are friendly little blighters and allow us to add attractions that may well be a) a Zoo and b) a Stately Home.

What that means for you is that it gives you options you might not have realised and you might get a bonus! for example you are wanting a zoo for the Grandchildren so you click on Zoos but "Bonus" you find a Zoo that is on a Stately home or Country House that has a rather nice tea shop attached. So Zoo one day, Stately Home and cafe the next and hopefully a nice campsite close to it.

Below are the tags (or categories if you prefer) that we use on our attractions directory

So to recap you can:

  1. Go to any campsite listing and you will see "attractions close by" on the right hand side.
  2. Go to the attractions menu and find the attraction or place you want to visit, click on it and it will show you all the campsite listings we have within a 10 mile radius of that attraction.

Whatever way you choose we hope you find what you are looking for and enjoy our website
