Greetham Retreat CL Touring Site
This site which opened in Autumn 2010 is set in the Lincolnshire Wolds and is owned and run by Rob and Jeanette who are intent on making sure that all their visitors have an enjoyable time. I received a very warm welcome on arrival and they were most helpful in pointing out the best walks which incidentally are accessed immediately from the campsite.
The facilities (shower and loo) were spotless and there are electric hook ups to all level pitches (five hardstanding and one alternative grass pitch). There is a service point which houses fresh water, grey waste water disposal and chemical disposal point. There is also a laundry room.
The views from the site are stunning for those who don't wish to walk. All in all a very peaceful and relaxing holiday.

Had a holiday home here for 5 years sold it in the end to the site as it was the only way to get rid as prospective buyer put off by staff. This site rips everyone of financially
.They take no responsiblity for workmen entering your van to do work that they have contracted them to do. so if the guy testing the heating system leaves the boiler on the clock and the room stat turned up full when he leaves costing you a fortune in gas bill then its not their fault, of course not its yours.
Personally I would not set foot on this park again as they constantly change the staff and the management is non existant.I would however tell anyone thinking of purchasing a holiday home here or on any other static site DONT!.
You would be far better throwing your hard earned cash down the drain outside your house. Stick to tenting or touring much more fun meet some ice people and dont let yourself be held to ransom and a prisoner on a single site.

Kingfisher Park
Nice reception area where you pay but once you have and get access to the pitching area it all changes some pitches back up on a very busy road and are very small there was piles of building rubble dotted around the site the toilets were filthy and smelt and the noise from the clubhouse was intrusive we arrived on Friday evening and left as early as possible Saturday morning although we had paid for 2 nights first and only time we have felt this badly about a site.

One of our favourite sites
Beautiful manacured site. Wonderful facilities. Great walking straight from site, no need for car. Very relaxing. No traffic noise! Note: No shop on site. Can't recommend enough - just keep it to yourself as we don't want to make it too popular!

Hi, adding our bit! we visit this site a lot and are pleased the owners crack down on naughty children. (we take our grandkids with us a lot and expect them to be reprimanded if misbehaving, however, it seems some parents now think their kids can do anything they want.)
location great for York, village pub great. pocklington nearest town with some shops, but it is so close to york and all the shopping anyway. shop on site has basics, and i mean basics! milk, bread, sweets. (stock up with wine before arrival!)
never felt like a traveller site to us (an odd comment), we park on the 'platform', close to the entrance, and like the friendly feel to it all. boys love the playground and return with us when they can.
no bar on site, so maybe too quiet for some.
both owners helpful and know the area well, we have had some wonderful meals in the area, some 'hidden gems' can be found. (st vincent, sutton derwent is one)
just found this new website, finding our way around, like it so far!

Having stayed shortly after they opened their site. We can recomend this perfect site. You can pitch on your own hard standing or grass. Your own separate water, electricity and waste.
Wonderful views and delicious eggs. Great dog walk. Close to Poldu beach where there is parking, toilets and a good beach shop and cafe. We shall be back.
