Couldn't ask for more....
Excellent site, we loved it and so did our dogs!! Superb dog walk on site, excellent pitches and peaceful location. Andrew (site owner) very helpful and friendly, would definitely recommend to other CC members! Poldu beach is good, as is the adjacent Gunwalloe Church Cove - lots of little inlets to explore at low tide. The welcome pack, with fresh eggs and a jar of preserve is a really nice touch. The curry company in Mullion is well worth checking out as well!!

Great
A lovely clean and tidy site with very friendly owners. Lots of walks along the river and through the woods and fields.Very dog friendly. Close to Chelmsford for shopping and also Maldon which is great for children. Local pubs and fish and chip shops. Close to a rural road but still peaceful.

Deers Glade 2011
We stayed at Deers Glade for 7 nights. Wife went to reception to get us booked in, Just in case i had to move the car. We were guided to our pitch by the owners daughter on her bike. Pitch was quite large.
Once pitched up we had a quick walk around to get localised with the facilities.
Both the toilets and shower blocks were immaculate.
The site was clean and tidy. We were in amongst other vanners and tents. The place had a good friendly feel to it.
But beware at night, you need a good torch. To me not enough lighting. But then again you don't want a lot of light if you in a tent....
Plenty of water points & waste water points.
Not much of a phone signal if you need to be in contact with the outside world, but they do have wifi....
We would gladly go again if holidaying in the area.

My Review of Red Lion Farm
Red Lion Farm actually consists of three site all situated within a working dairy farm, the farm produces ice cream in many flavours that is well know.
The farm is located 4.4 miles west of Stafford so an ideal location when visiting Stafford Castle, Alton Towers, Drayton Manor Park, Shugbrough Estate, Cannock Chase, Tamworth Snow Dome.

our review August/Sept 2011
My hubby and I spent 3 lovely weeks at this site and will reccomend to anyone. We will certainly be re turning next season. Helen & Roger and their staff work very hard at making their guests stay problem free. Best non Caravan Club site we have stayed at.
So many interesting places to visit and the booklet available on arrival lists most places of interest with mileage and post codes for sat navs. Roll on next visit.
Loved the little touch of fresh flowers, shower gel, body lotion and sweets in the shower block. This was also spotlessly clean.
Many thanks

Great Stay
I left it very late to book a pitch with most sites for the August Bank Holiday, and found one at Maynards.
The reviewers on other sites made me expect the worst but on arrival I was very surprised at the neatness of the site, the fresh flowers especially around the toilet block.
I was greeted extremely well on arrival and given assistance to park my rig in the correct place.
I did speak to the owner, and she said they had only taken over the site at the beginning of the year and will be busy updating the facilities. Some tiling has already been completed in the shower and toilet block and once the high season is over, they will be carrying on with their upgrade.
There is a CDP for your toilet cassettes, which is not mentioned anywhere.
Evrybody I spoke to on the site were expecting the worst, like me, but all were 100% happy with the site. I just hope they follow my lead by saying so.
Yes there is only 5amps at the electric point, but if you don't use an electrical kettle you should be okay.
August BH was going to be my last trip this year, but have decided to go back for October half term.
Oh yeah, the prices are really good as well!

Great little site
Just spent three nights here in or tent. Had a great time, clean and tidy site very friendly an welcoming. Very secure site, basic but with all the added touches you need like fridge and plug socket and a lovely pub across the lane with a park for the kids. My kids can't wait to return again.

Touring camp site
Shower block is clean but tired, with maintenance required due to broken hooks on doors. You state that dogs should be kept on a lead, but do not enforce this as there were two dogs running around during the two days we were staying on site. The dogs were seen urinating on tents, going into other visitors tents, and on one occasion running towards a child barking. They also found the over flowing bins interesting.
This alone will stop me from recommending your site to others. My husband and i have visited many sites over the last eight years, and found that site management are very strict regarding dogs, which people without dogs appreciate. Our children have dogs and take them camping with them, but they always abide to the rules of the site. Not everyone likes dogs, and there maybe an incident concerning a small child which could be prevented.

oban camping
Had a one night stay here in August. We had planned to stay longer but to be honest we did not feel welcome. The staff on duty where rude and unhelpful, bordering on hostile. The facilities are poor for a large site resulting in queues for the toilets and showers. The reception and shop where closed between 11am and 4pm which leads to confusion over where to pitch. The access is poor down a single track road with passing places. The location is beautiful with stunning views and there where some swings for the children. I would not recommend this site and will not be visiting again!!
