The wardens are on site 24\7 and are very warm and friendly, the site is beautifully situated for woodland walks and a two minuite walk into Woodhall Spa. we have already booked to visit again

As with many camps you go to most of the people are local to this holiday park. We found that most of them was very rude!! I have read this on other review sites and I didn't believe it until I witnessed it first hand for myself. They are the sort of people that smile at your face and then snipe behind your back!!

The caravan we stayed in was very nice as it was owned by a fellow family member hence the reason for staying.

There is a club on this site and also a pool. Unfortunately the week that we stayed the pool had to be closed down due to human "poop" being found in the pool. The club has entertainment weekly and the entertainment that we witnessed was absolute rubbish!! The karaoke in our opinion was run by a complete amateur who had no clue how to run it. The entertainer wasn't particularly great and the club manager didn't seem at all interested in any issues anyone had.

There is a small site shop which sells very basic things and we found the lady in there wasn't a bit helpful and in fact very ignorant.

Lets just say we didnt enjoy our holiday and we wouldnt advise anyone to stay here as we wouldn't ourselves.

Electricity is metered so you only pay for what you use. The pictches are all grass and flat.

Within walking distance is a playground if you have children with you and further down the road is a pub with good food.

Well worth a visit.

I received a very warm welcome on arrival and they were most helpful in pointing out the best walks which incidentally are accessed immediately from the campsite.

The facilities (shower and loo) were spotless and there are electric hook ups to all level pitches (five hardstanding and one alternative grass pitch). There is a service point which houses fresh water, grey waste water disposal and chemical disposal point. There is also a laundry room.

The views from the site are stunning for those who don't wish to walk. All in all a very peaceful and relaxing holiday.

I booked with a friend 2 into wing hall with our caravans over the august bank holiday.
I really would not wish to go through the experience again!!!
The entrance is fantastic......at the top of the drive however it is jammed with cars parked, then you need to go around a U-turn between trees and dustbins to get into the caravanning field, the field was CRAMMED full of tents and caravans, we wove our way through to the allocated spot, we had pre booked so knew the plot number. I then walked back to the farm shop to book in. On the way there I saw a poster on the fence stating that if you pitch up before booking in you will be "fined" by your fees being DOUBLED! This should have sounded alarm bells and I wish we had left then, but took it as though it was "tongue in cheek" and walked on.
I paid for the pitch (2 nights in caravan with 4 adults & 2 kids - No electric or water hook-up in an uneven grass field) only £64! WOW! But it was BH weekend so everywhere is full.
About an hour later an old woman in a Jeep 4x4 turned up and asked why we were there as "no caravans had booked in" we showed her our invoice and she rudely announced we had not paid enough! Apparently £64 for 2 nights should have been £72! What a bargain!!
We had arrived at lunch time and continuously during the afternoon more and more tents and vans turned up. In the end you could hardly move, i cannot believe this was within the rules or planning regulations for this site. Thank god there was no need for an ambulance or if a fire had started.
Now we come to the best bit, the showers and toilets, disgusting is not a strong enough word to use, in addition you have to queue for the privilege, I paid the 50p to use the shower and got a cold shower for my money!
Even at 10 pm both gender toilets were still queuing to be used in the dark.
In addition, to walk back and forth to the toilets and washing area you need to walk through fields with hens wandering about, a lovely site until you realise that the grass is covered in chicken excrement.
We booked for 2 nights but left after one (as did many others judging by the emptying of the field) we begged the owners of a site nearby to squeeze us in and paid again to go there. That is how poor the place is!!
Please believe me, you don’t want to go there, if you don’t believe me, try it at your peril.
I shall be copying this to Rutland Council and all others I can find to listen.

(but no signs up stating cost) we have 3 year old twin boys and 7 yr old girl, and were sited right next to waterski lake! only one boy fell in, which was lucky! lots of noisy ducks and geese on waterski lake. fishing pond large, well stocked with HUGE fish - carp etc! medium size play area which is opened onto by onsite pub and cafe - lots of unsupervised big kids. ok if you want home from home - noisy pub with lairy women/families!!
been there, done it, but probably wont go again!

No super pitches. Decent facilities on site included friendly reception team, nice pub, fast food (untried), small shop for basics, gas, small bait & tackle shop. All pitches are spaced adequately There are grass and hard standing pitches and some are kept for seasonal residents....they do allow Tents and Motovans as well.
There is a long dedicated dog walk with lovely views too.

The resident owners were very polite and friendly...nothing was too much trouble.

Access in and out of the site is by a short driveway off the main road...no problems .

Showers etc. were all kept perfectly clean and tidy...There is a room with all leaflets of places of interest too.

It is a very well kept and quiet site. with many places of interest to visit in the area.

George and I spent a long weekend there this August 05 and shall certainly go back in the future. I would recomment it to couples who want a quiet break
