Description
Caravans and motorhomes have hard standing pitches, some of which are tarmac, some gravelled and some have a stone base where grass has been allowed to grow through.
There are two fields for touring caravans. The smaller field accommodates both tourer and static caravans. This field is closer to the service building and is perhaps the Quietest! The larger field accommodates Caravans, Motorhomes, Tents and Camping PODs. This field is situated on the lower slopes of Little Mell Fell. The higher up this field you pitch, the better the views, but the further away you are from the services!
The Quiet Site is situated between Little Mell Fell and Ullswater. The views have a definite alpine feel: look West for the impressive Helvellyn and Fairfield, East for the Pennines and South for Barton, Hallin and Place Fells.
Many of the pitches are terraced offering flat areas for camping. Some of the pitches in the centre of the larger field are on a slight slope.
Please Note:
Although every care is taken to ensure accuracy, please check details with the campsite prior to booking.
Please mention Touring and Tenting if you book or visit the campsite
