Description

Welcome to Doe Park Caravan Site, our quiet and friendly family run touring park in the heart of beautiful Teesdale in County Durham.Situated on our traditional working farm, between the pretty villages of Cotherstone and Romaldkirk, Doe Park is set in parkland in the grounds of the historic 17th century farmhouse.

The touring site is surrounded by farmland, moors, hills and dales and is an ideal base for those looking for a peaceful and relaxing holiday in the stunning countryside of North East England.
The village of Cotherstone is only half a mile from the site by pleasant road or river walk and benefits from a well stocked village shop and two pubs serving local ales and good food. A regular bus service can be accessed by the site entrance and runs between the historic market town of Barnard Castle and Middleton in Teesdale in the Upper Dale. Visitors can enjoy an abundance of walks from the site and the Teesdale and Pennine Ways are close by. Balder Banks Nature Reserve ( a Special Site of Scientific Interest) is part of the farm and adjacent to the touring park. It is home to a wide variety of wildlife, birds and plants and is covered in a beautiful carpet of bluebells in May and June. Guests can enjoy private river fishing on our own water or alternatively fish on the local reservoirs just a short drive away.

The caravan park has easy access and is situated in peaceful, sheltered parkland with beautiful views of the surrounding dale and moorland. The paddocks are level and the pitches allow for generous spacing of units. All pitches have an electric hook up point and visitors can choose from grass or hardstanding. We have larger hardstandings which are ideal for motorhomes and there is a drive over motorhome waste point. The park is well lit at night and has two modern, heated shower blocks with full disabled facilities. There is also a well equipped laundry room and washing up facilities. Calor gas, milk and farm fresh eggs are available from reception and we have a wide range of tourist information on things to see and do in the local area and further afield.

Dogs with responsible owners are welcome and there are designated dog walks from the site, please let us know when you book how many four legged friends will be accompanying you.
