Description
Ours is a small family run camp site with the River Frome on one side, next to the medieval buildings of Stowford Farm. The river is suitable for fishing, boating, swimming and paddling. Historic Bradford-on-Avon is only a 5 minute drive and the City of Bath 15 minutes. For those who enjoy more rural pleasures, 200 metres from the campsite Farleigh Hungerford boasts the only river swimming club in the country, and you can become an instant member for a very small fee!
The camp site is open from Easter to the end of October. Facilites include toilets, a recently renovated stable block containing showers, sinks, washing-up facilities with free hot water. We have electric hookups and a waste disposal point. We welcome touring caravans.
My main reason for going would be the following:
Stowford Manor garden and tearoom. We have been open for 23 years and specialise in a cream tea made with our own Jersey cream and home made scones.
Please Note:
Although every care is taken to ensure accuracy, please check details with the campsite prior to booking.
Please mention Touring and Tenting if you book or visit the campsite
