Description

We are no longer an adult only site and are now welcoming families to Polstead this season.

Polstead touring Park is now Polstead Camping and Caravanning Club Site
We are open 11 months of the year, (14th February - 14th January) and we offer storage facilities.

We have individually landscaped and spacious pitches on our top field, all with hardstanding and electric hook-ups (10 amp). The pitches are suitable for caravans, motorhomes and trailer tenta. In additon to this we have our back field, with some newly laid hardstandings and 12 new hook ups (all 16 amp). We have our newly installed play area 'trim trail', a safe play area where there are plenty of perimiter pitches where parents can keep an eye on little ones while they play. This leads to the rally field, with its permanent barbecue facility and picnic benches, again with ten marked perimeter pitches for tents or caravans with limited hook ups available.

Newly refurbished facilities 2010

Visited this campsite and were very pleased with what we found, it certainly has changed since our last visit many years ago when the campsite was more exposed to the elements. The trees and hedges are now maturing nicely and this gives it a more secluded feel and certainly helps when the winds are blowing across the fields.

The new owners seem to be doing a really good job making improvements, with a new chemical disposal point being built at the moment and refurbishment of the shower block planned for 2010. Although being improved, the shower block as it stands is fine, nice and clean and warm.

The pitches are hard standing and a pretty good size, there are also grass pitches available and everything is well maintained.

We will def return if we can in 2010 as we enjoyed our stay very much

Slight tricky to access and exit this site for our outfit (Ford Explorer & Adria Adora 642UP) but with a bit of care the tight 90 deg entry and exit turns were manageable. Pitches are truly first class with plenty of room for the van & awning if required. Toilet block/facilities were also first class - they have done a magnificent job on the recent refurbishments. The wardens were helpful beyond the call of duty and knowledgeable about the area.
Overall we would highly recommend this site to anyone and look forwards to going back again.

The campsite gets better all the time. The newly refurbished facilities are really nice the underfloor heating makes having a shower a pleasure.

There has been a motorhome service point added and the washing up area has been refittted and enlarged.

Smashing campstite, well worth a visit

Visited this site twice in 2009 and thoroughly enjoyed it; the site managers couldn't be more pleasant and helpful. With the site developments that have been planned for the closed season it should make the site even better for 2010 and we look forward to going back again to see the developments.
Pub within walking distance does a great Sunday carvery!
